looking to connect with other SIDS parents

My perfectly healthy 10 day old daughter died this past October. We don't yet have the final report from the coroner, but they are likely to determine her death a SIDS death. Which means what? That they don't know anything really. 

I keep searching for online support groups, since the ones I've found in person include miscarriage, stillbirths and infant loss. It is an odd comfort to meet other people who have lost their babies, but I haven't met anyone yet who has our story. And while we're all grieving for our beloved babies - I think there's something different about losing a seemingly perfectly healthy baby to SIDS. 

Since this happened to us. I've learned that every week in Canada, 3 babies die of SIDS. It's been 10 weeks since our precious baby girl died.

So where is everyone?

Are there other resources that you've found useful?

i agree with you losing a child in the womb or as a miscarriage isnt the same as what we are living
or even losing a child from a sickness or car accident it isnt the same
we cant even say why our precious little healthy baby passed away...

My nephew passed away on May 4th 2016... He was 7mths and 2 weeks old... We are all broken... A mess.. We miss him so much. Ive been looking for support groups and other families thag are going through the the same thing and ive had no luck. Please let me know if you guys find anything. I pray we will all find peace again one day.

Hi there everyone. I just lost my beautiful little girl on June 30. She was 7 months old exactly. We have lots of moral support from friends and family, but I really need to speak to another parent who has/is going through this. I love in Edmonton. Anyone?

Hi Mira, I am so sorry for your loss. Is anyone on facebook? There are some groups on there specifically for moms/dads who have experience SIDS. You can also connect with my daughter on there. I lost my baby girl on the 26th oct she was 4 months old and our first child. I don't know if I could handle going to a group. A therapist came to the house and I couldn't handle it i walked away. and I believe I am ok with that. The only thing I am having a problem with is that there is no reason, no explanation, no one has a clue. and will be months the all the tests are done and there is a good chance there is nothing there either.
